  • How to Read/Subscribe to Former MMU Editor Timothy Prickett Morgan's New Newsletter

As a follow-up to the announcement this week that Timothy Prickett Morgan (TPM) had launced a new newsletter that covers the OS/400 rumor mill, here's the scoop: The name of the newsletter is The Four Hundred. This isn't really a new launch as much as it is a relaunch of TPM's original newsletter for the AS/400 platform, The Four Hundred. TPM wrote The Four Hundred (TFH) for several years, starting with the launch of the AS/400 platform in 1998, and it contains hard-hitting news and analysis. TFH is planned for weekly publication in both email and on the Web. With the help of several talented people, including myself in a very small way, TPM has already emailed an edition this week and he's writing one for next week even as we speak. This week's edition featured more on the iSeries Disk crashes; the new DASD availability fix pack; Jacada product consolidation; New V4R5 PTFs; IBM Jacking Up Lotus iNotes Client Prices for iSeries; and more. It was a good read;-) So if you miss MMU and want to read TPM's hard-hitting stuff again, go to the Midrange Server Web site ( http://www.midrangeserver.com , if your DNS doesn't have it listed yet, go to http://206.117.17.24/index.html ) and check out this week's issue. Then subscribe for next week's issue, if you are so inclined. There's nobody doing this kind of coverage in our marketplace, and Tim's always been a definite must-read in the OS/400 community.
