  • How to debug a Java program running in batch

I have a copy of the CPYSPLFPDF utility presented in MC magazine a while ago. I use it in a job that is submitted from a job schedule entry and it blows up. I have managed to trace the problem down to a single exception. It is throwing a general security exception when it initially tries to create the empty PF in QTEMP to hold the data from the spool file. This only appears to happen when it is running in batch. Could anyone help me? Thanx!

Well, I wrote CPYSPLFPDF, so maybe I can help. The version you are using is a couple of years old now, and there are known security issues with V4R5 and above. However, these should not be limited to batch; they should show up interactively as well. Drop me a line, Clifton, and maybe I can help you out. Joe Pluta joepluta@plutabrothers.com
