  • Client Access TCP/IP problem message 10065

I have been trying to setup to machines (one laptop & a IBM PC) with client access. I am receiving an 10065 error message in the Client access logs, both PCs have an static IP address defined, a subnet mask, 32-bit dlc driver installed and binded. I have used the current network connections with another laptop and this works. The IBM pc will connect via a dial in connection under client access. I am unable to cwbping the AS/400 from the PCs and AS/400 can't verify their connection either. TCP/IP is running the hostservers have been started etc. How do I isolate the problem for these machines.. Is it hardware driven ??

Client Access TCP/IP problem message 10065

It seems you may be missing a host file entry in the windows directory of the pcs that cannot connect. Whenever i cannot ping the host its always been this. hope this helps.
