I guessing that this is. You can verify this by opening the jar file in winzip and examining the directory structure. If you see a compbd directory or anything that says pbd then you have Joe's tool. I recently downloaded this very same tool from his website and made some changes to it so that it could handle wide reports byt giving the option of report page style (legal, landscape, letter, portrait, etc). He said he would review my changes and incorporate them in his next release some time soon. For your immediate problem I would suggest you attempt printing your report and determininng if it even prints correctly. Next I would suggest you examine the source code if you have it and figure out what it's doing. You could also post here if you want my revised copy. The changes I put in were necessary as many of our reports print landscape style and the original utility only does porttrait style pdfs.

Yes Clifton, it is Joe's utility. I think my problem was the printer file I took the report from was 136 wide as opposed to 132. When using a report 132 wide or less, the pdf came out fine at font 7.

I just downloaded the cpysplfpdf utility from Midrange. The tool works great except for one problem. If there are 5 pages in the spool file, the pdf will be 10 pages using fontsize 7. If I use fontsize 4.5, the pages come out the same as the spool file except the pdf font is to small when printed. Is there a fix for this?

I'm glad you solved your problem Larry. I suggest you look for the update from Joe if you plan on using this utility frequently. You may find that you need to print landscape for many reports. We use legal sized landscape for one of our reports. This is the report that prompted my making the changes in Joe's source.

Just so you know, Clifton, there's a new release due out shortly with more paper sizes, as well as margin support. We're getting there, bit by bit. If a few more people actually registered the darned thing, the development would be quicker .
