On the Target AS/400, create a user profile that is associated to the outq's you use. Example.. UserID: APOUTQ Outq: APOUTQ You can set the password to NONE, or something where no one can sign on with it, or setup a program in the profile where if someone does find out the password it will log them on and off. Send the spool file to the User ID (APOUTQ), and the reports will arrive in the Outq associated with the profile. This has been a long time issue for as long as I can remember, and this is the way we used to solve the problem. Don't try and change how the system handles it, just go with the flow.

The shop I work is in the process of setting up reports to run automatically. Some of the reports are being sent via e-mail and others are being placed on certain output queues. The problem I have run into is the ability to send a spool file to a given output queue and assign it to a user. When I use SNDNETSPLF to send the report, the output queue defaults to the user profile. Any suggestions? Tony
