    Default CGI vs WAS

You may already know about this site: http://www.easy400.ibm.it. It contains methods developed by IBM to use existing languages like RPG and COBOL to write CGI programs. It is well supported and FREE!

I found this page: http://www.crazybikes.com/welcome.html. Those 270's can be pretty nice (for WebSphere too). Thank you for visiting the Crazy Bikes Web site. This site was developed entirely using the mrc-Productivity Series2000, the iSeries tool suite for Web site creation, rapid application development, and report writing. Crazy Bikes is a fictional company, created to portray the business needs of today and to demonstrate the way mrc has responded to those needs. Crazy Bikes is a traditional iSeries shop. All their business logic, including product, distribution, and accounting information is stored on an iSeries 270. Crazy Bikes must bring that business logic to the Web in order to remain competitive in today's economy. This presents several challenges to a company whose skillsets lie in the manufacturing and distribution of products, rather than in the latest Internet technologies. .... SJ Lennon wrote:
Hmmm. If you read the small print, this appears to be a demo site for the mrc (michels, ross & cole), a 4GL vendor who's tool will generate web apps. Hence I'd expect it to be on a well endowed machine.Sam
fulfilling. However, the site you refer to is very fast. Is that because of RPG CGI or because it is a monstrous box? www.crazybikes.com . But now we are moving to WAS.

Actually, CrazyBikes is running on a iSeries 270, and was running on a 150 prior to last month.
