Default Security auditing and IFS file

I've heard that V5R1 is supposed to contain the complete path name in the journal entry. I checked in the V5R1 Backup & Recovery manual, and it says: For the IFS objects, the name is presented as a file identifier (FID). You can use the Qp0IGetPathFromFileID to determine the IFS object path name. I wonder if your rubbish is in Unicode....

Default Security auditing and IFS file

Hello everyone, I've noticed that events on IFS-type files (stream files) are logged by security auditing, but when parsing the journal file the file name/full path isn't displayed (all that is displayed is rubish). Has anyone seen this before or heard of a fix? Thanks in advance, Steve Carvaines

Hi Ken, Thanks for the response and I apologize for the vague "rubish" description...the audit trail shows the IFS file as type *STMF with a library of *N and object as *N. I'll investigate the changes available in V5R1 as we will be there shortly. Thanks again, Steve
