    Default MS Access security question

I've always been under the impression that there was a security exposure from being able to access the iSeries database with MS Access. Only our payroll libraries are secured to specific users so I'm thinking that anyone using MS Access could theoretically access any non-payroll data through an ODBC connection. Are my concerns warranted?

    Default MS Access security question

If your files are secured through normal AS/400 security, that same security will be applied to ODBC users. e.g. If a user is excluded (*EXCLUDE) from any access to a file called PAYMAST in HRLIB, that same user should not even be able to see this file for selection under ODBC. If the user has *READ only access, the same access should automatically apply to MS Access. Dave
