Default Excel to a Physical File

Steve, You can use the CPYTOPC command to upload from the PC to the AS/400. The data can be loaded into an existing file or a new file. If you have keys over the file on the /400, you may have problems with duplicates if you are not careful. For more information, use the SEARCH utility on this forum to find more (and better) answers to your question. -bret

Steve: I have had good luck using a Comma Separated Variable (CSV) Excel file to unload to the AS/400. If the file isn't already created on the AS/400, click on Transfer/Send file to host/Tools/Create AS400 Data base file and follow each step of the wizard. This will create the AS/400 file and the CA file spews to do the transfer. This has worked for me every time. HTH. Rich
