Thanks Joe that fixed it. I just order your book a few days ago, really looking forward to reading it. Tony

    Default java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

I'm getting the following exception trying to access our 400 through the tool box record level access classes: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect At first I thought it was something I was doing, then I tried one of the examples out of Java Application Strategies and an IBM example from the tool box. Both of these examples ended with the same exception. Sun's api docs list the following cause: "Signals that an error occurred while attempting to connect a socket to a remote address and port. Typically, the connection was refused remotely (e.g., no process is listening on the remote address/port). " Can I get around this? How?

Thanks, Tony. My wife and kids appreciate it, too . Seriously, though, the book and its technology are starting to get more interest. Especially as people begin to realize the benefits of changing their workload from interactive to batch. Good luck, and feel free to email me with any questions.
