    Default USRDFNOPT, USRDFNDTA, and USRDFNOBJ

    Could someone explain to me the USRDFNOPT, USRDFNDTA, and USRDFNOBJ options in the OVRPRTF command? This might help me in something I need to do, but I am having trouble finding out what it does. Thanks.... Eric Hill J & E Designs, Inc. Muscle Shoals, AL hille@wlv.com

    Default USRDFNOPT, USRDFNDTA, and USRDFNOBJ

    Eric, I don't think these options do much at all other than to tag whatever you enter in them to the spooled file attributes. The idea is that a program can retrieve the attributes and take some action based on these values. So you can basically use them for anything you want. For example, I have seen the USRDFNDTA used by a utility to hold a count. On every run the count is incremented and when it reaches a trigger value the file is purged. Dave...
