Default Save of the IFS Using the SAV Command

I know it is possible to use the SAV command to save the IFS based on a changed time period (i.e. save changed ifs). Is there anything I should be aware of if we use this option ? (CPF msgs, others). Thanks Jeff

Default Save of the IFS Using the SAV Command

I think the "last saved" date for IFS objects only gets updated if you specify UPDHST(*YES) on the SAV command. What I mean is, if an IFS document is saved and you do a WRKLNK and view the attributes, the "Need to Archive on AS/400" might be "YES" even though the document was saved. I think the CHGPERIOD(*LASTSAVE) needs UPDHST(*YES). Verify this though. Chris
