Joel, my children would definitely be that deceptive, but they are all so glued to their cell phones, that they wouldn't leave their cell phone behind to be with little Johnny! Of course, thanks to caller id, they are smart enough to not answer the phone for parents with Johnny around, and they come up with excuses as good as yours as to why they couldn't.

I have no training or experience as a career counselor, but you should be proud. It sounds as though your children have very promising careers ahead of them as politicians.
