Announcing XLPARSE2

XLPARSE2 is the open-source successor of the XLPARSE utility.
XLPARSE2 allows ILE-RPG programs to easily read not just XLS, but also XLSX Excel spreadsheets.
XLPARSE2 features command XLSTABLE, which transforms an XLS/XLSX spreadsheet into a physical file.
XLPARSE2 is based on the recent (March 2010) version of service program XLPARSER4, originated by Scott Klement and relying on December 2009 release 3.6 of POI Java classes.

XLPARSE2 prerequisites are a little more demanding than those of XLPARSE: XLPARSE2 is based on the latest version (March 2010) of Scott Klement's XLPARSER4 service program and on POI 3.6, which are both bundled in the package.
