    I just wanted to point something out that seems to be missing from your article… under ANZOBJCVN, you say…

    “But—just like with RISC—this step requires all of your programs to be observable.”

    That’s fine, but any programs that were compiled at V5 or later will also migrate to 6.1 or later whether they are observable or not.

    Your article didn't mention anything about LAN consoles. Users using
    serial consoles need to be aware that V7R1 IBM i Access for Windows does
    not support serial LAN consoles. Believe it or not, there are some V5R4
    systems that still use serial consoles.
