My company would like to implement column level encryption for columns storing client data for compliance purpose. Is there a way to implement it without any application change. The main requirement is the client data columns should be encrypted and should not be able to be viewed by SQL or UPDDTA etc., but should be automatically encrypted and decrypted when used by application programs.
