Default Saving an OV/400 document to a SAVF

Hi, This is my first post so please correct me if I do somthing wrong. I am trying to save a bunch of OfficeVision/400 document into a Save File so that I can then use the Send Network File (SNDNETF) command. My problem is that I have no clue how to do this. Does any one have any Ideas? Thanks in advance for all of your help. Daniel Silivestru, World Access Canada Inc. silivestru@golden.net

Take a look at the SAVDLO (Save Document Library Object) Command. Just an old mainframer caught in the Web!

Hi Daniel! No, you did fine... a good, concise explanation of the problem. OV/400 documents are stored in folders, so you can use the SAVDLO (Save Document Library Object) command. It allows you to save one or more documents from a folder into a save file. You can then use RSTDLO on the other side to get the documents back. You can get to the online IBM documentation for OV/400 about managing documents by clicking href="http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr/BOOKS/QBKAGK00/CCONTENTS">h ere. Section 3.2.1 talks about marking documents for offline storage, which is similar to what you want to do. Hope this helps! Joe
