    Default Client Access vs Rumba

I am a consultant trying to help a company decide on which package to choose. I have limited AS/400 experience. Does anyone have any advice on which package to use, Client Access or Rumba? Rumba is about half the cost for this company, but I am afraid it is limited in it's capabilites. Several AS/400 people tell me to go with Client Access but can't tell me why it's so much better than Rumba. Currently they are using both packages in an older version. Basically right now they are using them just for emulation. They want to take full advantage of all the reporting features. Rumba sales people tell me it will do everything that client Access does and a few more added features. We have to standardize on one platform and I want to choose the package that will be right for them. I apologize if this isn't the correct place to post. If anyone knows of a better site, please let me know. Thanks.

    Default Client Access vs Rumba

For pure terminal emulation, there are several alternatives to Client Access. One of the favs is MochaSoft. I'm sure others can post more links here. Also note that there are some functions within Client Access that you do not need a license for, such as ODBC and Operations Navigator. The paid-for version of Client Access adds a few things like terminal emulation and the Data Transfer function, but there are other alternatives for those. Hope that helps some. Brian
