    Default Help with LPAR

It's been mentioned that my dilemma regarding locations in multiple time zones sharing our '400 could be solved using LPAR. Can someone educate me about LPAR? How can I set it up? Could it solve my multiple time zone problem, i.e. set a different time/date for a location that is using LPAR. What are the down sides to LPAR? What about installing PTFs or doing Version upgrades with LPAR installed? If I use LPAR for one location, must I use LPAR for all locations attached to the '400? Anything I can read to help me learn about this? I'm sure there are a lot more questions, I just don't know enough about LPAR to know what else to ask. TIA

Go here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/h...info/index.htm On the left, locate and click on "Systems Administration, Availability and Maintenance". Locate and click on the "Logical Partitions" hyperlink. That should get you started. Hope it helps.
