Default RUNRMTCMD getiing Invalid User ID message

I use RUNRMTCMD quite a lot. Try this and get back with me if it doesn't work. At a DOS prompt type: C:>cwbrxdop save /usewinlogon You will see a long msg--bottom line of which reads--CWBAR1034--Windows logon security will be used if *NONE is specified, currently configured options are: /usewinlogon Then on the RUNRMTCMD specify *NONE for userid & Password. The user profile and password used to sign on to the PC will be used to access the AS/400. Be sure that the user ID & password used to logon to the PC are also valid userid & password on the AS/400. User must keep PC logon and AS/400 logon in synch. And of course if the PC user logs on as administrator, this will not log him on the AS/400--It is too long for a 400 userid. JoAnn infosys2@amm.org

Default RUNRMTCMD getiing Invalid User ID message

I am trying to execute the RUNRMTCMD but am getting an error message that the Required User ID is missing or Invalid. CWBAR1010 CWBAR1018. We are using client access express. I have gone into Client Access Remote Command tab and changed system and user to be * for both. I tried it again but still got the same error message. I also tried putting in a remote user ID and password in the RUNRMTCMD but that didn't work either. Can anyone tell me what to look for next? Thanks. Ron

Joann You were correct. The user PC logon and AS/400 logon were not in synch. Thanks.
