    Default Reorg files....deleted records

Novice am I....When I do a DSPFD in this particular file, there is a count for deleted records. These records have been deleted. Why does the system keep track of these? Does the file have to be reorg to free up that space? If so, what would be that command?

RGZPFM can be used to reclaim the deleted records in a specific member of the file. If the file per DSPFD is REUSEDLT(*YES), then such action may not be as useful. The best decision making on whether to reoganize is relative to both the percentage of deleted records and the total number of records.
