FrancescoThe IBM routers will allow you to have TCP/IP or SNA over your leased line. So how you setup depends upon which protocol or protocols you will be using. Are you going to switch to TCP/IP? At one time we had dual protocol networks but in 1997 we went to all TCP/IP. We use routers and Ethernet to connect to 17 remote sites. We use client access on our PCs at the remote sites. Having SNA and TCP on a single line requires greater bandwidth on the line. It also means you have two ways to setup equipment. If you have a lot of old SNA equipment at the remote site, you may want to continue with SNA. If your equipment can do TCP/IP, I would recommend TCP/IP as it seems to be the protocol of the future and it is the protocol of the Internet. JHicks@SUZ.com
