    Default Router Setup

We have an as400 on a subnet of abother network. There is a Subnet inside our subnet also. The people on the other side of the router in our subnet cannot get to the 400. They can ping to any workstation but not to the as400. The people on the other side of the router that we are a subnet of can ping to any workstation in our subnet but cannot ping to the as400. Our subnet can ping the 400 and uses TCP/IP as its protocol. Does anyone have any idea How I can get these other networks to see the 400?

It sounds like your AS/400 doesn't know how to get out to the rest of the network. Do you have a default route set? A ping is two way, your PC sends a TCP/IP packet to the AS/400, then the AS/400 is supposed to send one back. You should look at the default route of your AS/400, it shoudl be set to the IP of your router. Regards, Jim Langston
