AS/400 notice network-connection

Hallo, we have a problem with a AS/400: Our IP-network = 10.1.x.x / mask = 255.255.0.0 The AS/400 are connected with ATM-Adapter (155MB) on IBM 8265 ATM Hybrid-Switch. A PC, patched on IBM 8272-Switch (this 8272 are integrated in the 8265), can PING and connect on AS/400. When we patch this PC on IBM 8270-Switch (this 8270 are patched on 8265) NO PING and NO connection follows !!!! We have no problem with other Server or Network-Nodes, only the AS/400 take notice over the network-connection !!! SOURCE-ROUTING (in IP-Config) is NO. Have you an idea, where and why the problem is ? Thanks and regards Karin
