Default Host print transform to print IPDS print files on ASCII printer

Has anyone any information on setting up a configuration for a LAN attached ASCII printer to print IPDS print files using the host print transform function. I have set up a device with the TRANSFORM parameter set to YES but still receive the error device type of file not supported on device when the file is sent to the printer. Thanks.

You need to make sure you have PSF/400 on the AS/400 or Host Print Transform will not work. Use the GO LICPGM menu option to display installed license programs to determine if PSF/400 is loaded on your AS/400 system. Regards, Richard Schoen RJS Software Systems Inc.
