printer drivers for a Sato M-8485s label printer

When setting up a Sato M8485s label printer on the AS400. Which IBM printer would the Sato be compatable with.

Have you tried attaching the printer, and let Auto-Config figure it out? Dave

We have used both 5219 and 5225 as the printer selection when we use a CRT to hook athe Sato too. We do not use the same model as 8485 but use the 8400 series. Hope this helps

We are not quite ready to hook it up yet but will the auto-config a try.

Terry, It seems like we used IBM's 3812 IPDS printer for the device description. This seemed to work fine. Was able to route home-grown print to it and also TL Ashford's UPC label software. Hope this helps, Bret
