Except for special forms, all of our spool files are printed on IP connected network printers (HP Laser Jets w/Jet directs). Some of these Laser Jets have DUPLEX capabilities. I understand that in order to print DUPLEX, the Device Description for the printer and the Printer File(s) need to be setup as Duplex (Print Both Sides = *yes). Since the change to the Printer File (in this case QSYSPRT) is global to the entire system (unless it's performed via OVRPRTFs), I hope to be able to get some confirmation that there exist no problems with printing a DUPLEX printer file on a SIMPLEX printer. I've tried it on 5 or 6 simplex printers as well as 3 IPDS line printers without any problems, but I remain very hesitant to make such a far reaching change without other assurances. Does anybody know for sure? TIA, Pat
