    Default RUNRMTCMD creates QSYS/QSYSPRT

I signed onto the AS/400, and entered RUNRMTCMD CMD('c:windowspbrush.exe') RMTLOCNAME('10.10.10.86') and pressed enter. The command failed, even worse it created a physical file QSYS/QSYSPRT. All my print jobs started disappearing. Guess where they went? WATCH OUT FOR THIS ONE!!!!! Jeff, I find it hard it to believe that runing the Windows Paintbrush application from the AS/400 using the Run Remote Command caused all of your print jobs to disappear. What is significant about the "10.10.10.86" TCP/IP address you used for the RMTLOCNAME parameter? Perhaps, if it was related at all, it had something to do with this? Or is this the IP address of your PC? Regardless, the command you ran would not in any way, to my knowledge at least, affect any of your spooled files. At most, it will generate an empty spooled file on the AS/400 (which is the normal output of the RUNRMTCMD anyway). You said "All my print jobs started disappearing. Guess where they went?" Well...where did they go? Give us a little more information on this and maybe (probably) some of the very talented people who frequent this forum (and there are tons of them) will be able to help you solve the mystery.

The command failed, The command probably failed for one of two reasons: Either you did not have the Incoming Remote Command Daemon (CWBRXD.EXE) running on the client side and/or you used an incorrect *IP address. Another reason could be that you are not allowing Windows Password Caching or you never defined your AS/400 to the PC in the Client Access properties panel under the Remote Commands tab.
