    Default Spool File Control

Tim - Go to the iseries web site and search for TSPRWPR. This is a "User data transform" program that you can download and use to allow page range management of RMTOUTQ printers. HTH, Steve

  2. Default Spool File Control

I had created a print device as a *LAN printer. When printed spool files to this device I could print page ranges. However, every time the printer was turned off, for whatever reason, the device would vary off. So I created the *VRT device and assigned the outque an IP. Now I don't have to worry about the device being varied off. However, I lost control of the spool files. I can print the entire file but I can't print page ranges. Even as SECOFR. Any suggestion on how to fix the problem? Or a better way to setup the printers? Thanks in advance. Tim
