HELP , going #%#%^ soon
Well my problem is solved. I went through the example in MC May 2000 and created the invoice with overlay. The thing that I had missed in my OVRPRTF in the CL was defining DEVTYPE(*AFPDS). I now have output with overlay. Now comes the tweeking to make everything line up properly. Thanks to one and all for your help. It was muchly appreciated. Michael

step 1: ping your as/400 name, from a DOS prompt. step 2: note down the IP number returned from your ping (in this example, 999.999.999.999) step 3: at a DOS prompt, enter "net use w: \999.999.999.999qdls", where "999.999...." is the IP number you pingged for, and "w:" is the drive letter you want to assign. You will be prompted for a password -- enter your as/400 password. I didn't see you mention the us of CPYFRMPCD. I've always had to run this command to move the .PRN file from tho QDLS folder to an (No extention) in the library of your choice. Once that is completed you can use STRAFPU to work with the overlay.
