I have used the ls function to go from the PC to the I series during some conversion efforts . the biggest problem I have run into is the in ability to mass change the cell contents to a specific format. the transfer from pc to as400 requires that the data within a cell meets the criteria of the dds on the as400. columns defined as general default to text and will fail if the cell contains a numeric number. the will abort the transfer. How can you resolve this problem. <p> I have used the .prn output from exel and have FTP'd these files to the 400 then redifined the fields on the 400 to get around this problem which is a real pain.
