Look into the SBMNETJOB command, and SNADS.
Sometimes reverting back to an SNA procedure is not only efficient, it may also be more secure. It depends upon the circumstances.
Dave

Glen,
The normal cause for this type of scenario is the mainframe, punch and reader queue portion of your mainframe JCL ( VSE ). Check if the file record length ( VSAM I assume ) is the same. In addition, you can create a DDM file pointing to a mainframe VSAM file using the TCP/IP address not SNADS. Good luck

We have a mainframe running VSE (I think) and are in the process of building a whole new application on the iSeries. Currently we convert the files from the mainframe to the iSeries weekly (to our development box). Our problem is that there seems to be problems with the FTP on a file or two more often then not.
Is there another way to copy the files from the mainframe to the iSeries without using FTP or one that is more reliable? Can it be done through the NFS?
TIA
