ALL- <p>SINCE MY USER PROFILE IS MORE THAN 8 CHARACTERS( MYUSERID2 ), I HAVE TO REMOVE THE THE LAST CHARACTER OF MY USER PROFILE FOR THE NETWORK USERID. DO I HAVE TO ADD A NEW USER PROFILE FOR ( MYUSERID ) TO THE 2 AS400 BOXES SO THAT I CAN SEND/RECEVE NETWORK FILES. THANKS IN ADVANCE. <p><p> User ID/Address . . . . : MYUSERID S9999D7D <BR>

You should not have to do this. The setup for the directory entry includes a space where you can tie the entry to any user profile. In this fashion (and using my own name) you could set up a directory entry of <u>ABRAMOWI</u> using the user profile of <u>ABRAMOWITZ</u>. <p>Dave
