Recently, I tested a demo of ASNA'a Visual RPG and SoftLanding's change
management software called "TurnOver." Our shop is a traditional green screen
RPG (RPG IV & ILE) shop and I need to address two concerns. The first is the
high demand from our execs to see GUI apps. The second is to have a robust
Change Management application to for better work management and accounting of
projects.
So far, I liked what I saw in both packages, but I'm uncertain of how benifical
these two products been in the real world. Notably, the AS/400 world.
I appreciate any comments and/or suggestions on these or any other products
which may be more effective.

Why not use a GUI interface rather than rewrite apps.
California Software Products has something called BABY/GUI; Segull Software has
its GUI product; Bosanova BOS has something called Morph Master. There are
others.
Each of these takes your screen and automagically turns it into a GUI. No
programming required, unless you want to get fancy. Sounds to me like the best
of both worlds, and you can still use Change Management software, because your
original apps never change!
Dave
