I should like to point out, that if you have old files with an embedded dot within the file name, there has always been a problem using client programs. <p>That problem has been solved with version 9.0 of CR when used with the ODBC driver in Client Access V5R2. <p>When using ODBC to access AS/400 data, embedded dots within the file name are transformed into underscores "_". As long as the data is externally defined, you will be able to use files with these names. <p>David Abramowitz
