The emphasis on concentration, has become ubiquitous within many institutions of higher learning. It has reached the point, where a liberal education is considered pointless to many in authority. <p>Consequently colorful colloquialisms pepper professional and casual conversations. It is management that asks "Where you at?" and finds the use of "irregardless" to be appropriate. <p>One rationale is that many in IT management today are not native English speakers. That is not an excuse, but it does set the tone. <p>It is hard enough to obtain business specifications by using a precise and exact means of communications.
