I have Worksright installed at 2 clients and it does the job. One uses it in batch for "address cleansing". I did the implementation and it works fine.
The other client uses it in several interactive applications that were there long before I was. I don't have much to do with the applications but I haven't heard of problems.
Warning: For what it's worth, their sample code is written in very old style RPGIII.

Thank you!
Our custom system is written in RPGII for S/36 Environment. We are moving towards conversion to RPGIV, but actually, having the sample code be written in an older style will help our current programmer understand and implement it before the conversion is complete.
Another benefit to Worksright, then. Thank you!

I've used WorksRight in two different shops since 1996. It's a good product at a reasonable price. There is another software out there called Group1. I was in a shop in the early-mid 90's that used that. It is probably more robust, but is alot a lot pricier.
I have used WorksRight in both interactive verification and batch verification. We recently set up a web app that puts an address in a file on the iSeries. Then we send it through WorksRight for CASS certification. The web app retrieves the results including the longitude and latitude and plots it on a google map. It's pretty cool. It gives our company the ability to specify a location and then plot the closest adjusters to that location via a graphical display.

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone else here has looked into a Native Address Verification software solution. Not a PC solution involving import/exporting of files between hardwares...
I've found CODE-1 Plus from Pitney Bowes and PER/ZIP+DPV from Workright Software. Pitney Bowes is priced much higher than Workright, but the only real difference I can see seems to be that your system connects out to PB for verification and Workright has you store the database on your box. Both systems are updated monthly and allow batch and individual processing.
The price difference is large enough that I'm wondering if there is a key difference/consideration of the systems that I'm missing.
Has anyone used or researched their implementations? Any experiences would be appreciated.
Just a note, I'm not looking for alternative workflow suggestions, unless they involve an alternate AS400 software, so please don't reply with PC or web based solutions. I would appreciate the good intention, but it's not really addressing the question. :)
Thank you!

We've been using Worksright for a long time, and have been very happy with it.
Because they provide callable programs, it's easy to integrate it into your applications.
Just for fun, I wrote a little VB program that accepted an address, and then called the Worksright software to standardize the address. It worked great.
Bruce
