When I came to my current company in 1990, I was greeted with a file cabinet 36 with some home grown patched software and a B10 (yes, believe it or not with BPCS loaded on it. My job was to migrate to BPCS. 16 years later, we are still with BPCS, but 4 times the company in sales than we were in 1990. <p>BPCS is functionally sound. And as with most software packages, I could have some serious conversations with developers about their direction and their specifications. <p>We are a discrete make-to-order manufacturer. My objective is to have clear direction on whether BPCS will be our software package of choice for the coming years. I'd be more than excited to hear opinions of other manufacturing packages which work well for my enviromnent. I am not even biased that it has to be an iSeries package, I'm looking for Functionality. <p>Thanx in Advance for the opinions.
