Support all custom application development of DCS Logistics and custom software including merging data from Unix system running Oracle Database and a Freight Forwarding systems running on the AS/400 in RPG/400. Use SQL/400 to merge data from both platforms. Also work with CGI Programs, embedded SQL and WebSphere. They want someone who can be self-reliant and manage themselves with on-going projects and crisis situations. Must be able to do troubleshooting of problem remediation as well as new high-level development (embedded SQL, stored procedures, CGI and WebSphere) and maintenance all spread pretty evenly. Projects are requested by client companies and you must be able to evaluate the request, determine the best way to approach the project and complete with little or no assistance. Must have the attitude that �the customer comes first, help the customer even with issues that may not be directly your responsibility.� Be willing to do the nice jobs as well as the less inspiring tasks. This is a low-key environment, but your users will include high-level executives including division Presidents and VP's. Work with RPG400 and ILE.
