<p>If we are talking about mobile computing (and since you mentioned GSM), shouldn't we include CDMA?? Such as using an Aircard?? <p>In many populated areas (such as L.A.), Sprint and Verizon have high speed EVDO. In other areas they at least have data capability thru existing 3G connection. <p>These connections can be made using an Aircard or using "phone as modem" connection. Sprint offers "phone as modem" option on all of their new EVDO capable phones. <p>Using this type of connection allows the mobile traveler to be "mobile" without having to reconnect to different WiFi networks. <p>We have many users connecting to the Internet as will as VPN connections while "being stuck in LA traffic". <p>Just a thought....
