I am trying to follow the FTP instructions in Appendix E of the book and I am running into an issue. I am trying to ftp, following 4b as an exapmple.

Note: The 3rd step, the PROMPT, was rejected as not valid.

My command and the result follow:
mput s:\isys\program\as400\xfer\mcpress\apis_At_Work\cobol\figc3_*.mbr
Specified object name too long: s:\isys\prog.

I have shortend the name to the following and still get the same error:

mput s:\isys\figc3_*.mbr
Specified object name too long: s:\isys\figc.


Please let me know how to do this.
