Zend Technologies has launched a new series of ongoing surveys designed to take the pulse of developers around the globe and answer questions regarding technology trends now and in the future. Zend Developer Pulse's first results, compiled last November, reveal startling detail about usage trends in languages and platforms heretofore known largely from anecdotal stories. The survey queried developers on technology and career trends for 2012, and produced answers to questions about next-gen Web, social, mobile, and cloud directions.
