Whether from mergers and acquisitions, partner mandates for integrated supply chains, or just a greater need for disparate systems to share data, Web services have emerged as a foundation that provides a common highway for disparate systems to work in harmony.
The Federal Communications Commission has acted to preserve the Internet as an open network enabling consumer choice, freedom of expression, user control, competition and the freedom to innovate. These rules were developed following a public rulemaking process that began in fall 2009 and included input from more than 100,000 individuals and organizations and several public workshops.
