Despite the relatively modest attendance at this year's COMMON Conference, there was a lot of energy at the show, partly because the IBM i vendors had many enhancements to their product lines. IBM has announced two new products that allow customers to seamlessly extend their investment in service-oriented architecture (SOA) into a cloud services environment. These new offerings enable clients to easily create application environments that can be deployed and managed in a "private cloud" and include:
