File Edit Utility (FEU) now features data emailing and zipping functions.

Applied Logic Corp., developer of AS/400 and Power Systems programmer productivity software, has announced the August 2009 release of V17 of its powerful database tool, File Edit Utility (FEU).

First introduced to the AS/400 market in 1988, FEU has been continually upgraded to better serve the thousands of users in more than 100 countries worldwide.

In addition to the cumulative capabilities of all previous releases, new features of FEU V17 include:

• Email spool files in PDF/HTML/TXT/XML format
• Zip a library or file
• Work with record lengths up to 32,766 bytes
• Convert a save file to PF and restore it back
• Print alpha order record layout reports
