Users can transfer files across the enterprise easily and securely using FTP and FTPS.
Help/Systems has announced an update to Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise job scheduling software, which now includes built-in functionality to transfer files across the enterprise securely.
Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise allows users to automate job scheduling and event monitoring on their UNIX, Linux, Windows, and IBM i servers. Users control these activities from their PC using familiar Robot/SCHEDULE features, including the Robot/SCHEDULE Explorer, job completion history, Schedule Activity Monitor, job schedule list, and more.
Users can monitor servers for events such as the creation, deletion, or modification of a file or directory; whether a file is growing; when services start or end; and create their own monitored events. These events then can be used for event-driven job scheduling in Robot/SCHEDULE. For example, a file arriving on a Windows server can launch a process on another Windows server, which can then start a job on a System i.
Built-in file transfers allow users to transfer files across their enterprise easily and securely, using FTP and FTPS. The easy-to-use built-in function builder sets up the file and directory information, and Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise adds the appropriate FTP command to the job. |
