Users can monitor Windows servers for events such as the creation, deletion, or modification of a file or directory.

Help/Systems has announced an update to Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise job scheduling software. Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise now extends the power of Robot/SCHEDULE, the job scheduling and batch job management software, to Windows servers in the enterprise.

Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise allows users to automate job scheduling and event monitoring on their Windows, UNIX, and Linux servers. Users control these activities from their PCs using the Robot/SCHEDULE Explorer, Job Completion History, Schedule Activity Monitor, Job Schedule List, and more. Users can monitor Windows servers for events such as the creation, deletion, or modification of a file or directory; whether a file is growing; when services start or end; or even create their own manual events. These events then can be used for event-driven job scheduling in Robot/SCHEDULE. For example, a file arriving on a Windows server can launch a process on another Windows server, which can then start a job on a System i.

Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise provides a graphical user interface, the Robot/SCHEDULE Agent Manager, to set up and manage Enterprise agents on Windows servers. Users can quickly add, delete, edit, start, and stop agents, as well as access troubleshooting information. Once Windows agents are running, Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise detects the agent and it appears in the Robot/SCHEDULE Explorer.
