Golden Bridge Awards recognize company in two categories.

Nexsan, a provider of disk-based storage systems, has been recognized for the company’s E-Series storage systems which were named Best Green IT Technology and also Best Storage Hardware. Awards were presented at the Golden Bridge Business Awards in New York City, created to honor the achievements and contributions of organizations and businesses in their respective fields. 

The annual awards program has active participation from a broad spectrum of industry voices. This year, Nexsan was recognized for the company’s E-Series storage systems featuring innovative power management for exceptional energy efficiency. 

In most enterprise-class storage systems today, volumes of disk drives rotate continuously, requiring significant power and cooling. Nexsan E-Series storage systems reduce power requirements up to 85 percent using AutoMAID (Automatic Massive Array of Idle Disks) energy saving technology which in turn lowers data center cooling requirements. AutoMAID transparently places disk drives into different idle states depending on application requirements.
