New version supports all IBM commands as well as legacy and vendor code.
INPRO International has announced the release of TimeZoNe/400 (TZN/400) V6.1.P, a TimeZoNe tool that allows a company to have dozens of time zones in dozens of countries, with thousands of users all in the same LPAR.
"With this version we are completing support for all the IBM commands as well as your legacy code and vendor code," says Craig Van Horn, president of INPRO." What this means for a user in Australia running on a system in Austin, Texas, is that their output, messages, everything is occurring real time, not yesterday or this morning. Overnight, you can make your complete installation time-zone aware without recompiling any code," he says. Van Horn notes that this all is done without costly LPAR support.
The transformation occurs at the object level so no source code changes are necessary, Van Horn says. The capabilities within TimeZoNe/400 will extend thru the year 3000, including support for automatic rules-driven Daylight Savings Time(DST) around the world.
The company supports OS versions of IBM i from V5.R4 through 7.1. For additional information, visit www.inprointernational.com. |
