Connectria's Dallas area Tier 4 data center will be its fourth and designed to help meet the growing global demand for its hosting services.

Connectria Hosting, a global managed hosting provider, has announced that it has secured a new location in a Tier 4 CyrusOne data center in Lewisville, Texas.

The CyrusOne facility, a Tier 4 designated facility according to the Telecommunications Infrastructure Standards for Data Centers (TIA 942), is now the fourth data center location for Connectria, with existing data centers in St. Louis and Philadelphia.

A Tier 4 designation is the highest level a data center can achieve, designed to host mission critical computer systems, telecommunications facilities, and storage environments with fully redundant subsystems (cooling, power, network links, etc) and compartmentalized security zones, controlled by biometric access control methods.

Connectria’s newest data center location, projected to be operational in the third quarter of 2012, is intended to meet a growing global demand for its hosting services. Initially, the data center location will be used to deliver Connectria’s rapidly expanding cloud computing solutions and to provide additional disaster recovery options to its clients. Later in 2012, Connectria expects the Texas facility to accommodate the full range of Connectria’s services, which includes the ability to host the widest range of dedicated server and cloud computing technologies in the industry.

The Texas facility also provides improved connectivity and proximity for many international markets, such as South America, which has been a source of rapid growth for Connectria as well.

According to Rusty Putzler, Connectria’s vice president of Engineering, “We are pleased to be opening our fourth data center in such a top-notch facility. We chose CyrusOne because of their strategic location, advanced power and cooling architectures and their commendable track record of security and reliability, which is aligned with Connectria’s commitment to quality. We look forward to supporting our current and future growth in this excellent facility for years to come.”
